Is there Parking Available:
Various parking options are available in proximity to the ice rink. Metered parking facilities are provided on Sturt Street, in both directions,
as well as on Armstrong Street North and South, and Bath Lane. One hour free on-street parking is available per vehicle each day.
Ensure your registration details are entered into the parking meter.   A multi-story parking facility is located at Central Square. This is situated at the intersection of Dana and Doveton Street South.Two hours
free parking is available per vehicle each day.   For visitors with larger vehicles or those towing caravans, there is a dedicated long vehicle car park available on Sturt Street,
directly outside the Ballarat Town Hall.   One accessible carpark is located behind the ice-rink on Armstrong Street South (parallel with Ballarat Town Hall). Further,
there is also an accessible park located behind the rink on Armstrong Street South (outside the Phoenix building ).
Both carparks are accessible from Dana Street.
What Public Transport Options are Available:
A bus stop is conveniently located on the corner of Sturt and Armstrong Streets, outside Central Square. This stop services local bus routes 11, 22, 24, 25, and 26. 
For more information or to plan your journey, visit Ballarat bus timetables & maps | CDC Victoria   The Ballarat Train Station is located 500 meters from the Ice Rink.   For visitors seeking individual transportation, Neuron electric scooters are readily available throughout Ballarat's CBD.   A temporary taxi rank is located behind the ice rink on Armstrong Street South.
How long are the sessions? 
60 minutes long 
Does it cost anything to watch? 
Entry is restricted to paying customers only. However spectators can watch from around the outside of the rink for free. 
What clothing is suitable to wear? 
Preferably long pants or tights, anything casual and easy to move around in. Don't forget LONG socks and a spare pair of pants in case you have a tumble.

Are prices any cheaper with BYO skates?
 No, however feel free to bring your own skates if you wish. 
Will there be skate aids? 
Yes! Penguins are free and are available for sharing. 
Is skate hire included with prices?
Yes, skate hire is free and included with all skating prices.
Before you skate
Children under the age of seven MUST be accompanied by an adult on the ice rink at all times
Children under the age of 10 are strongly encouraged to wear a helmet
Helmets are available
Skate and helmet hire is included in the ticket price.
Skate sizes are available in child size 12 to adult size 13. For sizes smaller a double-bladed skate that straps over an 
enclosed shoe is available for use.
There is water on the ice, is it still ok to skate on?
Unseasonably warm days can cause water to appear on the surface of the ice. This is just surface water though and under it is a skate-able sheet of ice.
Sessions at 10am or after 6pm tend to have a frostier surface.

Learn to Skate sessions
Monday 7th, Tuesday 8th and Wednesday 9th of July
Learn to Skate Session: Led by a Skating Coach Numbers limited to 30 Skaters No public skating.
Cost $39 per skater
Family Friendly sessions/strong>
Every Weekday 9:00am - 10:00am (except Thursdays from Friday 11th July 
Family friendly sessions: recommended for families with young children or beginners. 
With limited numbers on the rink you’ll enjoy a more relaxed skating environment.
Sensory sessions
Every Thursday 9:00am - 10:00am
Sensory sessions are strictly reserved for people with special needs, disabilities or those who find it difficult in busy 
social environments.
These sessions are designed to provide a comfortable, quiet environment, with minimal queues, less crowds and 
soft or no music. Wheelchairs and other aids are permitted on the ice.
Sensory sessions are 9:00am to 10:00am at Ballarat Winter Festival Ice Rink
The following details also apply for sensory sessions:
Carers who are supporting a person, during sensory session or any sessions booked, will receive free admission. 
Carers will need to show a valid companion card on site to qualify for the free admission.
Note: wheelchairs are also permitted during all sessions.
On the Ice Rink:
Ice skates must be worn on the ice at all times - i.e. no walking in shoes
Skate in an anti-clockwise direction unless advised otherwise
No pushing
No speeding or dangerous skating
No carrying of children on the ice
No chasing or playing tag on the ice
No linking three or more skaters
No throwing or spraying of ice
No digging holes or damaging the ice or barriers
No sitting on the barriers
No bare feet
No food, drinks, use of mobile phones, smoking or consumption of alcohol allowed whilst on the ice
No offensive or abusive language
Ticket Holders affected by alcohol will not be permitted on the ice rink at any time.
Ticket Holders may be removed from the ice at any time if deemed to have been in breach of any ice rink rules.
Ice rink staff 
The ice rink is supervised at all times by qualified staff members.
First aid 
If first aid is required when on the ice signal for a qualified staff member. All staff members are first aid trained and 
will be able to assist if needed.
Weather  
TThe ice rink is undercover and is generaly un efected by the weather.

Tickets are managed and processed by Stars on Ice on behalf of the Promoter (City of Ballarat). Any ticketing issues, 
i.e. no confirmation email of tickets, please email ticketing@starsonice.com.au.

AAll tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable and valid only for the date/s and time/s shown.
Dates can be changed up to 48 hours prior to the session depending on availability by emailing ticketing@starsonice.com.au.
